Terms of use
Effective September 24, 2026
Deep Sea Dry Land is a training app for youth hockey players, their parents and guardians, and their coaches. These rules apply on the website and in the iPhone app, and the app asks everyone to agree to them before they start. If you're under 13, read them with a parent or guardian.
The rules
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. When you use Deep Sea Dry Land:
- Be kind. No bullying, harassment, threats, or mean or rude posts about anyone.
- Nothing inappropriate: no sexual, violent or hateful words or pictures, and no bad language.
- Keep private things private. Don't share anyone's address, phone number or other personal details.
- Only post film reviews and pictures that are yours to share, and don't post photos of people who don't want them shared.
- Be yourself. Don't pretend to be someone else or use someone else's account.
- Record workouts honestly.
If something worries you, tell a parent or your coach.
What happens when the rules are broken
Anyone can report a film review, a coach reply, a team photo or a profile in the iPhone app. Every report is emailed to our team as soon as it's sent, and usually to the team's coaches too. A real person reviews every report; we aim to act within 24 hours, take down anything that breaks these rules, and we can close the account that posted it. Film reviews and uploaded pictures are also checked automatically before others see them. In the app you can block anyone, so you no longer see their film reviews, replies or profile pictures.
What you post
What you post stays yours. By posting it, you let us store it and show it to the people it's shared with — usually your team — for as long as it's on Deep Sea Dry Land. Coaches and staff can take down anything posted to their team. Team photos stay with the team if your account is deleted, without your name.
Accounts
Player accounts are created by a club, a coach, or a parent or guardian, or from an invitation one of them sends. Keep your sign-in codes to yourself. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time — in the iPhone app (Me → Delete my account, or Delete an account for a parent) or by email — and we complete deletion within 7 days. A parent or guardian can ask the same for their child's account.
Your information
How we collect, use and share information is in the privacy policy.
The service
Deep Sea Dry Land is a training tool. Exercises are there to be done safely and within your ability, under your coach's and your parents' guidance. We work to keep the service running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we may change or stop features.
Changes
When these terms change, we'll update the date at the top and ask you to agree again the next time you open the iPhone app.
