For Players

Getting started

  1. Step 1: Accept your invite
Your coach (or parent) sends you an email invitation to join your team. Open it, follow the link, and create your account. You'll verify your email address as part of signing up.
  2. Step 2: Set up your profile
Add your name, number, and position, and upload a profile picture if you like. (Heads up: every picture is automatically safety-checked before anyone can see it, and your parents are emailed the result โ€” so keep it clean and hockey-ready. ๐Ÿ˜„)
  3. Step 3: Log in with your code
Click Log in and enter your name, email address, or phone number. We'll email a 4-digit code to your parents or guardians โ€” and to you too, if you have your own email. Type it on the login screen, or tap the button in the email if it opens in the same browser you're logging in from. Codes expire after 10 minutes, so if yours went to a parent's phone, just ask them to read it to you.
  4. Step 4: Land on your dashboard
You're on the Player dashboard โ€” home base for everything: today's workout, your streak, your stats, and your treasure.

Your dashboard, tab by tab

Today
Your mission for the day: the program(s) your coach scheduled, your streak flame, your streak goal, and the start button. Most days, this is the only tab you need.
Stats
Team standings, your training-time charts, what you train and when, plus your activity heatmap โ€” a year of training at a glance.
Programs
Every program your coach has published: what's inside each one, what you've completed, and what's next.
Progress
Your Sonar exercise history, personal records, record attempts, and the chests you've earned by improving.

Up in the top bar you'll always see your ๐Ÿ”ฅ streak and your ๐Ÿช™ Doubloons โ€” tap either one to jump to the details.

Doing today's workout

  1. Step 1: Hit Start on today's program
The Today tab shows what your coach scheduled for today. Tap it and the workout player walks you through each exercise one at a time โ€” with videos, timers, and rep targets.
  2. Step 2: Camera exercises: let Sonar count
Some exercises use Sonar, the camera rep counter. Prop up your device, follow the on-screen stance guide, and after the 3-2-1 countdown just train โ€” it counts for you. New to Sonar? Read the Sonar guide first.
  3. Step 3: Finish and celebrate
Complete the last exercise and the day is banked: your streak ticks up, points land on the leaderboard, and Surge celebrates with you. Your parents automatically get the good news too.
Why is that other program locked?
Coach's plan comes first! You have to be caught up on this week's scheduled program(s) โ€” including any days you missed โ€” before other programs unlock. Missed a day? Its program shows on your calendar with a โ— so you can go back and finish it; each Sunday the week starts fresh. Once you're caught up, feel free to bonus-train with any program you like.

Scheduled a rest day? Complete it like any program โ€” recovery counts, it keeps your streak alive, and rest days are never locked, even while you're catching up.

Your streak & streak goals

Train on back-to-back days and your streak grows โ€” it's the single best measure of an athlete who shows up. Set a streak goal from the Today tab (3, 7, 15, 30 days) and a treasure chest waits at the finish line. Longer goal, rarer chest.

Treasure: chests & Doubloons

Chests come from streak goals, daily check-ins, and new personal records โ€” plus a celebration chest for finishing your coach's full weekly plan. Open chests on the Doubloons page (tap ๐Ÿช™ in the top bar), collect the coins, and spend them on power-ups like streak freezes and XP boosts.

Don't forget the daily free chest โ€” claim it every day and the loot gets luckier. The full economy is in the Doubloons & Treasure guide.

Progress, records & the Progress tab

The Progress tab is where you chase your best self:

How scoring and records work under the hood: Points, Streaks & Leaderboards.

Player questions, answered

I finished today's program โ€” can I do more?
Yes! Once you're caught up on this week's scheduled work (today plus any missed days), every other program unlocks for bonus training. Extra workouts mean extra points and more chances at records.
Can my teammates see my stats?
Teammates see the team leaderboard (points, workouts, streaks) โ€” the fun, competitive stuff. Your detailed personal charts are yours; coaches and your parents can see your training to help you improve.
I missed a day and lost my streak. Is it gone forever?
Your longest-streak record is safe forever. For the current streak, check the marketplace: a Streak Restore can bridge the gap if you get back to training quickly.
Why didn't my typed-in workout set a record?
Records only come from verified results โ€” Sonar-counted reps or coach-measured metrics โ€” so every record is one everyone can trust. Do a Sonar record attempt from the Progress tab instead!
Who sees my profile picture?
Your team โ€” after it passes an automatic safety check. Your parents are emailed either way: a copy of the picture when it's approved, or the reason when it's blocked.
